CAMP HADEREKH PACKING LIST
What to Bring:
Tanakh (Bible)
Clothes that can get dirty
Long pants (at least one pair!!) and shorts (modest ones please)
Dress clothes for Shabbat (collared shirt & nice pants for guys\ skirt & blouse for girls)
A jacket or sweater (nights can get chilly!)
Bedding & Pillow with pillowcase (A sleeping bag is best, but 2 sheets & a blanket will work)
Toiletries: Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Soap, Hairbrush, Shampoo, Deodorant, etc.
TWO Towels (one for the beach, one for showers)
Closed toe shoes & socks (gym shoes!) **NOTE: wearing closed-toed shoes & socks at night will help against mosquito bites!
Modest swimsuit (one-piece; lined suits)
A costume for themed dinner skits (2023 Camp Theme: To Journey)
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Flashlight
Medications (all meds need to be given to the staff nurses)
Personal Water Bottle
For Guys: Bring your own Kippah, Tallit & Tefillan if you have them!
Optional Items:
Spending money for the General Store (recommended $10-20)
Aqua socks\sandals for swimming
Poncho
Musical instrument (For worship or talent show)
Laundry bag or pillow case for dirty laundry (no trash bags)
What To Leave At Home:
Scooters, Skateboards or Bicycles
Perfumes or scented items (these attract bugs!!)
Fireworks
Electronic devices of any kind (radios, tape, cd, mp3 players, phones, pagers, walkie-talkies, games)
Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco of any kind or Weapons**Possession of any of these items will result in immediate removal from the camp program
Note - Cell phones are not to be used during camp (you can do it, it’s only a week!!).
